Barbara Ann Corcoran
Barbara Ann Corcoran was born on March 10, 1949. She is an American investor, speaker and consultant. The Corcoran Group was a New York City real estate brokerage she established. NRT purchased it for $66 million in 2001. Corcoran later left the company. One of the show's original "Shark" investors, Corcoran has appeared in all 12 seasons of ABC's Shark Tank to date. By February 2020, she had signed 53 deals. One of them was a purchase of $350,000 to Coverplay at 40 percent. Corcoran, who was the second child of 10 from a Catholic family with a low-income was born in Edgewater in New Jersey. [8] Her mother, Florence, was a homemaker. Edwin W. Corcoran Jr. his father was a multi-talented worker throughout the years of Corcoran's childhood. Sometimes, her family relied upon free food delivery from a local, friendly grocery store. Corcoran recalls her father being an alcohol-dependent drunkard who often treated her mother with disrespect and disrespect, especially after having consumed alcohol. Corcoran was a troubled student in school. Later, she discovered she had dyslexia. She attended an area Catholic elementary school and started the high school system in St. Cecilia High School in Englewood. Corcoran graduated from Leonia High School with a diploma in English, despite not completing several classes in her first year.
