Kyra Minturn
Kyraminturn Sedgwick was born on August 19th, 1965. She is an American actress and producer. Her most well-known role is her role as Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award in 2007 for her performance as Johnson and also an Emmy Award 2010 for her portrayal. The series ended following its seventh season. Sedgwick is also known for her role in the role of Madeline Wuntch, on the sitcom Brooklyn Nine-Nine. Sedgwick got an Golden Globe nomination for her performance as Madeline in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's other film roles include Oliver Stone's Born on the Fourth of July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Singles (1992), Heart and Souls (1993), Phenomenon (1996) The Cooking (2000), Secondhand Lions (2003), The Game Plan (2007) as well as The Possession (2012). Sedgwick is the daughter Patricia Rosenwald and is an educator and family therapist, a venture capitalist, as well as Henry Dwight Sedgwick VII Speech therapist. Her mother was Jewish was of English and Episcopalian origins. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and is a part of Passover meal times.
